TRAVEL TO GUINEA - THE CLIFFS OF FOUTA

ROUTE - 12 DAYS

Day 1 : Paris - Conakry.
Arrival in the evening. Reception on arrival, transfer and night in the hotel.

Day 2 : Conakry - Dalaba.
Visit small town with the out of date charm with its colonial houses and its pine forests. Harms Sib hotel in Dalaba.

Day 3 : Dalaba - Cliffs of Doucky.
Track laterite until Doucky. We join first of all Tountin Bonodji, the cliff of the hyenas, solid mass made up of strange sandstone formations to the astonishing forms. Night in Doucky.

Days 4 to 6 : Cliffs of Doucky.
Day of walk since the heights of cliffs of Doucky to join the lowlands and the Large Canyon. To go up on the plate of Fouta-Djalon, it is a series of nine made scales of bamboos and lianas that it is necessary to climb in a fault. Nights in camp-site.

Day 7 : Natural bridge of Aïnguel.
Transfer conveys some towards the village of Djaga. We discover the splendid village of Aïnguel with its typical boxes peules marvelously decorated, certainly most beautiful with Fouta-Djalon. This extraordinary village is typical villages peuls from where the men absent… left in adventure, like one says in Guinea! Parties to try their chance in the adjoining countries or in Europe, they more or less regularly return to join their families. The village is thus populated women, children and babies, old incomes with the country and of some young people who chose to remain to emphasize their tourist inheritance. The women maintain the tradition of decoration of the boxes and have a joy and a pride to make you admire their achievements and to initiate you with the symbolic systems of their painting and the preparation of the natural pigments.
We install our camping at the edge of a swimming pool formed by Fétoré, close to an astonishing natural stone bridge. Night under tent or out of box.

Day 8 : Rapids of Fétoré.
We start this day in the valley of Fétoré with the discovery of three splendid water falls: Djourougui, Kamawi and Donsowol where we can bathe and benefit from freshness. We go along a natural channel before borrowing a traditional bridge of lianas to reach Ley-Fita. Night under tent.

Day 9 : Ainguel - Labé.
Visit of Labé, its market, the artisanal center. Meet with Alpha, one impassioned of the plants which designed a garden where it cultivates medicinal plants and aromatics. Night in the hotel.

Day 10 : Labé - Conakry.
Day of road to join Conakry. Night in the hotel.

Day 11 : Islands of Loos - Conakry - Paris.
Day of discovered islands of Loos. Transfer to the airport and take-off on Paris. Night during the flight.

Day 12 : Paris.
Arrival in Paris in the morning.
