TRAVEL TO GUINEA - MOUNT NIMBA

A route with discovered more beautiful areas of the Republic of Guinea, rich in ethnological and cultural diversity like ecological.
Forest Guinea with the luxuriant vegetation and the traditions always long-lived animists shelters many wonders, of which the Reserve of Biosphere of the Nimba Mount, classified World heritage by UNESCO.

ROUTE - 11 DAYS

Day 1 : PARIS - CONAKRY.
Flight during the day. Arrival in the evening. Reception and transfer to the hotel.

Day 2 : CONAKRY - NZEREKORE.
Transfer to the airport and take-off on Nzérékoré, "capital" of Forest Guinea. After rather long formalities (we are with the crossroads of the access to Liberia and the Ivory Coast), we recover passports and luggage and join the city by the track. Installation with the Golo hotel or similar. To lunch then discovered of the city. Visit crowned forest, co-operative of dyeing of the forest loincloths and small ethnological museum. Diner and night at the hotel.

Day 3 : NZEREKORE - LOLA - NZO.
Route towards Lola and Nzo. Stop at the weekly market of Lola, high colors and in cheerfulness. We continue on Nzo, which will be the starting point of our trek. Night in a small local hotel or under tent.

Days 4 to 7 : TREK ON MOUNT NIMBA.
During 4 days, we will discover the astonishing diversity of the reserve of biosphere of the Nimba Mount. Uneven of 1500 meters will lead us primary forest to the steppes of the top, the Mount Richard Molard which culminates with 1752 meters. Wet tropical forest intersected with primary forest where nest a multitude of wild animals, such as colobes, antelopes, gilded cat… In the mountain pastures of altitude three microclimates follow one another supporting the blooming of an exceptional flora. Walking on on paths signposted by simple broken branches, our guides will open the way with the matchet to us. Marvellous cascades will rythmeront our days of the pleasures of the bathe. Nests of chimpanzees will appear regularly. Nights in bivouac.

Day 8 : BOSSOU - NZEREKORE.
With the foot of the mysterious Gban mount, covered with primary forest, the village of Bossou shelters a scientific research centre; the group of chimpanzees which a guide will take us along to see, is crowned for the population. Return towards Nzérékoré. Diner and night at the hotel.

Day 9 : NZEREKORE - FLEUVE DIANI.
We will join the Diani river and the village from where the wise ones will lead us to see the bridge of lianas of which they are the guards. Sauntering on this long bridge of about fifty meters, one would be well close believing that indeed, of the human beings could not build it without divine assistance! Return on Nzérékoré after one strolls in the dugout and a bathe in the Diani river. Diner and night at the hotel.

Day 10 : NZEREKORE - CONAKRY.
Transfer to the airport and take-off on Conakry. Transfer to the hotel. Diner at your conveniance. Night at the hotel.

Day 11 : CONAKRY - ILES DE LOOS - PARIS.
Transfer to the fishing port of Boulbinet and loading for the visit of the islands of Loos. Take-off in evening for Paris.

Travel by minibus.
French-speaking drivers and guides, cook (the meals are prepared by the guide so less than 5 participants).

Camp-site: tents igloo 4 per 2 people, mattresses comfortable.

Level: 5/7 hours of walk, uneven 1600 meters. Go in the rather difficult primary forest in altitude.
